All Mobile Radar Systems Developed by DRDO

  • INDRA Radar

 

INDRA ( Indian Doppler Radar), also named as “Low Flying Detection Radar”. It consists of a series of 2D radars developed by LRDE i.e. lab of Defence Research and Development Organization. INDRA radar is produced by Bharat Electronics. The INDRA-1 is a mobile surveillance radar system to detect low level targets. The INDRA-2 is efficient in intercepting ground level targets.   • Ashwini Radar

 

This radar is used by the Indian Airforce that is low-level transportable radar. Ashwini radar has 4D active array technology that can accurately target highly maneuverable objects. It provides information related to the velocity vector of the incoming target along with its range, height and azimuth. Ashwini radar provides awareness against high-speed aircraft that range upto 200 kms. The Indian Airforce of India has planned to purchase 18 such radars. These radars started to provide its services in 2018.
