Lattice Vanilla Custard Slice was an old time favourite in our household over the years complimenting the Vanilla Slice. 😋😋😋🥰🥰🥰

2x 200 gm Arnott Lattice Biscuits line baking tray with half of the biscuits.
2 1/2 cups milk in saucepan on stove whilst heating
In a small jug …add
4 large tablespoons Custard Powder
8 tbsn sugar
1 tablespoon cornflour
1/2 cup milk
Stir until mixed through than add to milk in saucepan .
Keep stirring until thickens keeping it from sticking on the bottom of saucepan.
Once thickened … add
1 egg yolk
1 teaspoon Vanilla Bean extract
Keep stiring. Once all mixed and the custard has thickened.
Pour over lattice biscuits than
Line top of the slice with another layer of biscuits.
Place in fridge allow to cool for one hour than make an icing to cover the slice .
Juice of one lemon
A little water to mix together
Cover the slice than back into fridge to set.
